Steelers Rookie L.T. Walton Looks Up To Mentor Cameron Heyward

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie defensive end L.T. Walton isn’t guaranteed a roster spot this year even though he was one of the team’s eight draft picks, Regardless, the Central Michigan product has chosen himself the right mentor to help in his efforts.

“Since I’ve been here I’ve been looking up to Cam Heyward,” Walton recently told Mike Prisuta of steelers.com. “He’s a prime example of how to work and how to do things around here.”

While not the oldest player currently on the Steelers defensive line now that Brett Keisel is no longer around, Heyward is considered the new leader of the much younger unit that includes Walton, Stephon Tuitt and Daniel McCullers to name a few.
