Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Steelers are releasing LB L.J. Fort on Monday.
Fort, 26, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa back in 2012. He last just over a year in Cleveland before he was among their final roster cuts.
Fort had brief stints with the Seahawks, Bengals, and Patriots before he was claimed off of waivers by the Steelers during the 2015 preseason. Fort was on and off of their active roster ever since.
This season, Fort has appeared in one game and recorded two tackles and no sacks for the Steelers.
