The Steelers released running back Isaiah Pead today and signed Fitzgerald Toussaint from the practice squad to take his place on the roster.
Toussaint played in college at the University of Michigan and played in four games with the Baltimore Ravens last season. He has six career rushing attempts for 12 yards during the regular season. He also played in both of Baltimore’s playoff games last season when he rushed for five yards on two carries.
Pead, who was cut by the St. Louis Rams earlier in the fall, was signed by the Steelers earlier this month after the Steelers lost Le’Veon Bell for the season with a knee injury.
