Steelers Release RB Brandon Brown-Dukes From Practice Squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a minor transaction on Monday as running back Brandon Brown-Dukes was released from the team’s practice squad.

This move isn’t overtly surprising with starting running back Le’Veon Bell now able to return this week from his three-game suspension. The release of Brown-Dukes, however, now means that the Steelers have an open spot on their practice squad and that will likely be filled in the coming days.

As reported earlier on Monday, the Steelers have until late Thursday afternoon to activate Bell to their 53-man roster as an exemption is in place until then.
