The Steelers have released linebacker Tariq Carpenter from the practice squad, the team announced.
Carpenter appeared in three games this season, dressing from Week 10 to Week 12 in games against the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals, being used mostly on special teams and totaling two tackles across three games.
Carpenter was drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, appearing in 14 games as a rookie in Green Bay.
The Packers waived Carpenter on August 30th, and the Steelers signed him to their practice squad the following day.
