Steelers re-sign Jones to one-year contract

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Steelers have quite a bit to tend to in free agency, but some housekeeping needs to be taken care of beforehand. That includes bringing back impending free agents.

The Steelers announced Monday that they've re-signed Jamir Jones to a one-year contract.

Jones, 24, was an exclusive rights free agent, meaning the Steelers only needed to offer him a league-minimum contract to keep him from negotiating a contract with another team. While the worth of Jones' contract is not yet known, it'll be worth at least $940,000.

Jones played in all 17 games with the Steelers during the 2022 season, recording 10 total tackles and one pass defended.
