The Steelers continue to bolster their defensive depth and core of special teamers. The team announced Thursday that it has brought back cornerback James Pierre on a one-year contract.
The details of the deal have yet to be announced.
Pierre, 28, will be entering his sixth year with the Steelers. He originally signed with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in 2020 out of Florida Atlantic.
Pierre has appeared in 81 career NFL games with eight starts, two of which came last year. He logged 23 total tackles in 2024 to go along with three passes defensed.
