Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins killed

Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was struck by a car in South Florida Saturday morning and killed. He was 24 years old.

Haskins, a first-round pick of Washington in 2019, joined the Steelers at the end of the 2020 season following his release by the Commanders.

He spent the 2021 season as the team's third quarterback behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph and was expected to compete for a job with the team again in 2022.

Haskins was in South Florida working out with teammates this week when the tragedy occurred.
