Amongst all newcomers to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster, few are as intriguing as undrafted free agent quarterback John Rhys Plumlee.
Plumlee threw for over 4,800 yards and threw 19 touchdowns across 2022 and 2023 with the Knights. The dual-threat also rushed for 1,367 yards and 16 touchdowns in that span. And with the Steelers’ top three quarterback spots being all but locked up by Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and Kyle Allen, the dynamic rookie is doing whatever he needs to do to make the roster.
Plumlee has worked as a kick returner throughout the offseason, and returned two kicks for 42 yards in the preseason opener against the Houston Texans.
