Even though he was supposed to spend Sunday afternoon on the sidelines at Heinz Field wearing a ball cap, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger managed to be a hero against the Cleveland Browns.
The veteran Roethlisberger, bad left foot and all, was forced into Sunday’s game during the team’s second offensive possession after starter Landry Jones left with an ankle injury and he went on to complete 22 of his 33 pass attempts in the game for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Steelers 30-9 win.
379 passing yards in the win over Browns were the most off the bench by a quarterback in a regular-season game in NFL history.
