The Pittsburgh Steelers have promoted rookie outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo to the 53 man roster and released defensive end Cashaud Lyons, the team announced today.
Chickillo, a sixth round pick from Miami (FL), initially made the 53 man roster before being cut the following day. He spent the first three weeks on the practice squad. It’s unclear if he’ll dress for tomorrow’s game, however.
Lyons was claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was a rookie from Tusculum and could be reassigned to the practice squad after clearing waivers.
