There was already a high amount of enthusiasm for the 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers, but then came Labor Day weekend and the excitement is now at a fever pitch. Why? David DeCastro reworked his deal and the Steelers brought back two familiar faces, Josh Dobbs and Sean Davis, to greatly bolster depth at quarterback and safety respectively. Then came the contract extension of Cam Heyward to presumably make the defensive co-captain a Steeler for life. Finally, the team signed veteran punter and legacy Dustin Colquitt to seemingly upgrade the shaky punting situation. It was a flurry of activity to trump most cutdown weekends.
