Just when it looked like rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson was going to be worked into the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense, he takes another step backwards.
The rookie from Michigan has been placed on injured reserve with a hamstring issue. He will miss at least the next four games. Wilson made his debut in the Steelers’ win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6, playing in just five snaps. He was inactive against the New York Jets in Week 7, and now will be on the shelf once again. He suffered a sprained ankle in training camp that kept him sidelined for the preseason and the first five weeks of the regular season.
