The Steelers made a flurry of roster moves on Sunday, including placing running back Jaylen Samuels and wide receiver James Washington on the reserve/COVID List.
Samuels has been a backup running back with the Steelers the past two seasons, while Washington caught 44 passes for a team-best 735 yards with three touchdowns last season.
In addition to those moves, the Steelers waived eight players, including quarterback J.T. Barrett, running back Ralph Webb, former Pitt receiver Quadree Henderson, offensive lineman Christian Montano, linebackers Christian Kuntz, who played at Duquesne University, and Dewayne Hendrix, safety Tyree Kinnel and defensive end Josiah Coatney.
