The Steelers have placed Ulysees Gilbert III on the Reserve/Injured List for the 2019 season. In his place, the Steelers have promoted LB Robert Spillane from he practice squad to the 53-man roster.
Spillane spent time with the Tennessee Titans in 2018, first with their practice squad before being promoted for one regular season game. The Steelers signed Spillane this past off-season and he spent all of training camp with the team in Latrobe. Spillane was originally placed on the practice squad but was dropped after Week 3 only to be re-signed heading in to Week 6.
