The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced they have placed OT Kelvin Beachum on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL in yesterday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals. They have signed veteran offensive tackle Byron Stingily in his place.
Beachum, in the final year of his rookie contract, is unlikely to be ready in time for the 2016 season, wherever he winds up. There’s a good chance he starts the year on the PUP list. Beachum becomes the 13th Steeler currently on injured reserve.
Stingily played with the Tennessee Titans from 2011 to 2014 with obvious familiarity to former Titans’ head coach Mike Munchak.
