The Pittsburgh Steelers have now trimmed their offseason roster down to 90 players with the release of three on Thursday and that short list includes former second round draft pick Mike Adams.
Also released Thursday were kicker Ty Long and running back Abou Toure.
Adams, who was released with the failed physical designation, missed all of the 2015 season due to a back injury. The former Ohio State product started 20 games at tackle during his first three seasons in Pittsburgh. Because he had spent the entire season on the team’s PUP list, Adams’ final year of his contract tolled.
