Dan Rooney has passed away.
On Thursday, the Steelers broke the news on their Twitter handle, as the second owner in franchise history has died. He was 84 years old.

The son of Steelers founder Art Rooney, Dan Rooney was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
Rooney was born in 1932, the year before his father founded the Pittsburgh Pirates, who later be re-named to the Steelers. Rooney joined the family business shortly after graduating from Duquesne, as he persuaded his father to hire Chuck Noll in 1969.
