Steelers optimistic about having three injured stars available for Week 1 vs. Falcons

The Pittsburgh Steelers had two injury scares to a pair of rookies they have high expectations for in 2024. First-round pick Troy Fautanu suffered a knee injury against the Houston Texans in Week 1 of the preseason, and third-round pick Roman Wilson suffered an ankle sprain in training camp. However, head coach Mike Tomlin is hopeful that both will be available this Sunday in Atlanta when the Steelers open their season against the Falcons.

“We had a couple guys working in a partial capacity yesterday in our bonus day, and we expect that to increase as we push towards game time,” Tomlin said in his Tuesday press conference.
