Steelers offense, Justin Fields thrives while using play action in Week 1

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 18-10 in Week 1. And while the offense failed to reach the end zone, the Steelers’ offense already looks better than it has over the last two years.

For starters, the Steelers had just two three-and-outs and consistently established long drives. Their first three drives of the season were a 10 play drive, another 10 play drive, and an eight play drive followed by a four play drive after a takeaway, and they scored on three of those four drives.

We knew that Arthur Smith was going to be different and that the offense would look different, and one aspect really stood out to me - the usage of play action.
