The NFL issued the Steelers a sixth-round compensatory draft pick today, giving them seven total choices.
The extra pick, the No. 220th overall, comes from losing cornerback Brice McCain in free agency last year.
The Steelers now have picks in each round except the fifth and have two in the seventh. They traded their fifth-round pick to Philadelphia for cornerback Brandon Boykin, who is now an unrestricted free agent. They traded their original sixth-round pick to Jacksonville for kicker Josh Scobee, whom they cut. They acquired a seventh-round pick from the New York Giants for punter Brad Wing.
