James Harrison thought he had at least a share of a sack Sunday and a place in the Steelers’ record book. In fact, there is photographic evidence outside the locker room at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex that shows Harrison with his arm wrapped around Dak Prescott’s waist while Stephon Tuitt has him by the legs.
But the official scorer gave the sack to Tuitt, and Harrison now has seven games remaining to set the record for most sacks in team history. Harrison remains a half sack behind Jason Gildon, who owns the record with 73½ sacks. The Steelers even sent the video of the sack to the NFL offices for a second opinion, and the league also agreed Tuitt deserved a full sack.
