Steelers right tackle Marcus Gilbert had his injured left foot in a walking boot and was on crutches Monday afternoon after he was injured in the Steelers’ 43-14 victory against the Chiefs Sunday night.
The Steelers did not have an official injury update Monday, but the fact he was in a boot suggests his availability for this week’s game against the Jets is in doubt. Mike Tomlin is expected to address Gilbert’s status as well as the growing list of other players who are dealing with injuries when he has his weekly news conference Tuesday.
The Steelers beat the Chiefs without seven players, including four starters who missed the game with injuries.
