Steelers Name Ray Sherman Interim Wide Receivers Coach For 2019 Season

The Pittsburgh Steelers made an expected announcement Thursday morning as veteran NFL coach Ray Sherman has now been named the team’s interim wide receivers coach for the 2019 season.

Sherman will now assume the role on the coaching staff that Darryl Drake previously held. Drake passed away suddenly a week ago Sunday at the age of 62 in his dorm room at Saint Vincent College while the team was in the final stages of their 2019 training camp. Sherman had been helping out with the Steelers wide receivers throughout training camp this year, according to several media reports.
