When the Pittsburgh Steelers released both Mike Mitchell and Robert Golden, the general consensus was the team would be adding both a free agent safety, and drafting a safety as well. When NFL Free Agency officially began there wasn’t just a lack of moves, there was even a lack of rumors.
Leave it to the Steelers, they stuck to the game plan.
After the first wave of Free Agency came and went, the Steelers started to get busy. Rumors swirled of free agent visits, the team signed inside linebacker Jon Bostic and most recently the team added their much needed safety in former Packers defensive back Morgan Burnett.
