One of the biggest needs the Pittsburgh Steelers had entering the offseason was at cornerback. Most of the focus has been at outside corner, and the Steelers took steps to address that by signing veteran CB Anthony Averett after his tryout at rookie minicamp. However, the slot cornerback position is still a problem. Both Averett and Donte Jackson are more experienced playing outside than in the slot. It’s more than enough to make a person miss former Steelers CB Mike Hilton.
Hilton spent four years in Pittsburgh and played in 59 games. He had seven interceptions, 32 passes defended, three forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries.
