The Pittsburgh Steelers will indeed be without the services of veteran running back DeAngelo Williams (foot) Saturday night when they play the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in one of the two AFC Wild Card games as he has now officially been ruled out on the team’s Friday injury report.
Williams, who suffered his foot injury in the first half of Sunday’s win over the Cleveland Browns, failed to practice all week after spending some time in a walking boot.
With Williams out, the Steelers will hand their running game over to backups Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman, who have combined to carry the football just 9 times for 59 yards during the regular season.
