The Pittsburgh Steelers were missing some some key names due to injury when they faced the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, but it appears they might have managed to leave Lincoln Financial Field largely unscathed after their first preseason game of the year.
Although he was able to leave under his own power, guard B.J. Finney was the most notable player forced from the field prematurely when he left the game late in the second quarter, and he was seen receiving treatment on the sideline as the first half ended. While Finney did not return after the break, Mike Tomlin would describe the injury as “not significant” when he headed to the locker room at halftime.
