Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says there are no ‘schematic limitations’ for Russell Wilson

The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled to get anything going offensively throughout the preseason. Most notably, it appeared that quarterback Russell Wilson was somewhat hesitant and physically limited in his first live-game action against the Buffalo Bills.

Wilson finished 8-of10 for 47 yards in his first game as a Steeler, and was constantly pressured throughout the duration of his time on the field. He didn’t look very comfortable and it appeared the calf was still bothering him and impairing his mobility and ability to escape the pocket.

That said, head coach Mike Tomlin says the Super Bowl winner is all systems go, and that Arthur Smith will be able to use the entirety of the playbook with Wilson on the field Saturday against the Detroit Lions.
