Steelers HC Mike Tomlin: ‘We’re extremely comfortable’ with first-round DT Derrick Harmon’s medicals

The phones were ringing in Pittsburgh’s draft room when the Steelers were on the clock for the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite the option to trade down or take a quarterback, the team stayed put and selected Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon.

“We talked about certain guys who we would not trade away from,” said Steelers general manager Omar Khan in the team’s press conference following the pick, “and this is one of those players for us.
