Steelers Have Referees Present For First Minicamp Practice

The Pittsburgh Steelers mandatory minicamp is now underway and it sounds like there will be a few zebras on the field for the team’s final three practices prior to training camp starting in July.

According to Adam Crowley of Steelers Nation Radio, head coach Mike Tomlin has brought in a group of officials for the Tuesday practice.

Last season, the Steelers were flagged 126 times in total with 103 of them being accepted for 834 yards. Those penalties also resulted in 160 nullified yards and 33 first downs during the regular season.
