Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix has been named to the Pro Bowl in place of New England fullback James Develin, who can’t participate because the Patriots are playing in the Super Bowl.
It’s the first Pro Bowl for Nix, who has been with the Steelers since 2015. The Steelers now have 10 players who have been named to the Pro Bowl. Running back Le’Veon Bell, receiver Antonio Brown, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, offensive linemen Alejandro Villanueva, David DeCastro and Maurkice Pouncey, linebacker Ryan Shazier and place kicker Chris Boswell all made the team when it was announced last month. Nix and defensive end Cameron Heyward were named as replacements.
