Steelers fill open roster spot, elevate practice squad players ahead of Week 5

The Steelers received some help for thin positional depth ahead of Sunday’s Week 5 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Per a team announcement, the Steelers activated outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon from injured reserve to the 53-man roster, filling the team’s remaining available roster spot.

The Steelers also activated running back Jonathan Ward and wide receiver Brandon Johnson to the active/inactive roster from the practice squad. Ward and Johnson will revert back following the game.

With the Steelers down Alex Highsmith entering Sunday’s matchup, Moon provides a welcome boost to the team’s outside linebacker room.
