Thursday, January 14th has been a busy day for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After informing offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett and secondary coach Tom Bradley they won’t be getting new contracts with the team, the Steelers also learned of veteran tight end coach James Daniel retiring.
Now the Steelers have to wait and see if some other coaches will be looking for work elsewhere in 2021.
The Miami Dolphins are interviewing quarterback coach Matt Canada for their offensive coordinator position, and now it seems the Steelers defensive assistant coach Teryl Austin is getting an opportunity to prove he is capable of another defensive coordinator job with the Tennessee Titans.
