Steelers' Calvin Austin III ruled out after helmet hits turf

CINCINNATI -- Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III was ruled out with a head injury midway through the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Austin's helmet made hard contact with the turf after he snagged a 6-yard pass from Russell Wilson and was tackled by Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt in the final seconds of the second quarter.

On the Steelers' first offensive play of the game, Austin was also drilled by Bengals linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither. Davis-Gaither was flagged for pass interference on the play.
