Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and kicker Chris Boswell both performed at high levels during the final five weeks of the regular season and as a result they were named the AFC Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Month respectively on Thursday.
Brown had 51 catches for 642 yards and 5 touchdowns in the past 5 games and that was the most in NFL history in team’s final 5 games of regular season. It marks the third time during his career he’s won the monthly AFC offensive award.
Brown finished the regular season with a career-high 136 receptions for 1,834 yards and 10 touchdowns and in doing so he became the first player in NFL history with back-to-back seasons of at least 125 catches.
