Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2016. They haven’t even competed in a Super Bowl since 2010, and they haven’t won one since 2008. If they view Super Bowl trophies as their standard, then they have fallen short for quite some time.
Everybody is tired of it, from T.J. Watt to Mike Tomlin and up to Steelers owner Art Rooney II. But identifying the problem is only part of the battle, without a clear means of alleviating it. The solution is simple enough: win a playoff game.
