The 90-man, or 91-man in Pittsburgh’s case, offseason roster is a fluid one. Players are added and released almost weekly as teams try to fill out a roster without playing their starters too much.
For the Steelers, who will be resting a lot of starters this Friday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they are adding depth to their secondary heading into Week 1. The depth they have added is in the form of cornerback Trevon Mathis.
This per the Steelers’ official Twitter account:
Mathis was signed by the Minneosta Vikings as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2018 out of Toledo before being released by the team.
