Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant is expected to have a procedure for an infection on his elbow that will cause him to miss the Hall of Fame preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
Bryant is expected to be out about 10 days, according to a report by FoxSports.com. The Hall of Fame game is next Sunday.
Meantime, the Steelers traded for cornerback Brandon Boykin on Saturday because they are concerned about the shoulder injury to rookie Senquez Golson and are not sure when he will return.
Golson, a No. 2 draft pick, has been on the physically unable to perform list since training camp began eight days ago.
