Coming into the season, it was very clear that the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to need to lean heavily on the star-studded, highly-paid defense under head coach Mike Tomlin.
Through the first three games, leaning on that defense while the offense gets into gear has paid off.
That was again the case on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers at Acrisure Stadium in the home opener as the Steelers’ defense was downright dominant in the second half, holding the Chargers to zero net yards of total offense in the second half, allowing the Steelers to pull away for a 20-10 win to move to 3-0 on the season.
