Smith wants the tight ends involved

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a week into training camp, and one thing has been very noticeable in that time - the use of tight ends.

Pat Freiermuth has been moved around the offense, playing both in the slot as a receiver and in his traditional tight end spot. Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward have also been getting consistent looks in the passing game. That seems to be by design, as offensive coordinator Arthur Smith wants his tight ends to be big focal points of the offense.

“Well, all of them,” Smith said when asked how much tight ends he wants involved in the offense.
