CLEVELAND -- Pro Bowl receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and running back James Conner were among four Steelers injured in the first half of the Steelers' game Thursday night here against the Browns.
Smith-Schuster suffered a concussion midway through the second quarter when he was sandwiched between safety Morgan Burnett and cornerback Greedy Williams. Both appeared to make helmet-to-helmet contact with Smith-Schuster, who went down to the field for several minutes before being helped from the field. No penalty for helmet-to-helmet contact was called on the play.
Smith-Schuster, who had two receptions for 21 yards, was taken directly to the locker room and declared out for the remainder of the game, which the Browns led 14-0 at the half.
