Sean Davis' versatility proves crucial with Senquez Golson injury

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Pittsburgh Steelers won't officially update Senquez Golson's injury until Wednesday, but it doesn't look good.

The NFL Network reports Golson suffered a Lisfranc injury during Monday's practice; he could be sidelined at least 12 weeks. On Tuesday, a rep for Golson said he hadn't been briefed on the cornerback's situation, but the fear of a lengthy rehab is certainly realistic.

It's brutal news for Golson, who was pumped to finally be back after missing 2015 with a torn labrum. He was getting first-team nickel snaps in camp, too.
