The Steelers rank among the best defenses in the NFL. They’ve held seven of their first nine opponents to 18 points or fewer and are equally stingy when it comes to the total number of yards they allow.
But they’re still in search of their first complete game this season. Other NFL teams would sign in blood for the types of performances the Steelers have put forth this season, but the players weren’t happy after the 20-17 victory against the Colts.
“I feel like when the defense is on — when we want to play — man, we’re on,” second-year strong safety Sean Davis said.
