So the National Football League Owners decided to institute new rules pertaining to the National Anthem. The problem as we now know is that there was no actual vote on this measure. Understand how rare this is… Any sort of major issue that impacts all 32 teams almost ALWAYS goes to a vote of the owners. No such vote took place. Owners for the Jets, 49ers and Raiders did not agree with the new rules and Steelers’ President Art Rooney II believes the rules have not been defined enough to make a clear distinction between what violates it and what doesn’t.
