I’m wasting my breath – or in this case – my typing skills to tell you there is little to read into following the first day of camp for the quarterbacks. Mitchell Trubisky was average. Mason Rudolph was solid and Kenny Pickett looked like a rookie. Each guy had 12 reps in the team session. There was miscommunication. There were good throws. There were errant throws. There was an interception of Kenny Pickett by a guy named Carlins Platel. The highlight of the period was a 60-yard TD off a screen to Rookie Calvin Austin III.
