Every, single year the vast majority of us beg and plead with Kevin Colbert to trade down in the draft and accumulate more picks. If only it were that easy… In his 22 years as the General Manager, Colbert has NEVER traded down in the first round. This leaves many to ask why? First and most importantly, it takes two to tango. If you don’t have a trade partner then it doesn’t matter what your wishes or intentions are. You are stuck with the position you’re in. Secondly, Colbert appears to be of the mindset that the team already knows who it wants.
