Good Thursday to you Steelers’ Fans.
The Steelers announced yesterday that General Manager Kevin Colbert has agreed to a one-year contract extension. This will take him through the end of the 2021 NFL Draft. Since coming back to his native Pittsburgh from Detroit in 2000, Colbert has often been one of the most polarizing figures in the Steel City. Despite an average first round draft position of 21st, Colbert has been routinely able to put forward highly competitive teams. But Colbert has also been guilty of some pretty awful draft selections and free agent signings too. This is the nature of the beast when you’re an NFL GM.
