Good Tuesday to you Steelers’ Fans.
Third-String quarterback Zach Mettenberger was released yesterday just days after the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted QB Josh Dobbs. My understanding is that Mettenberger asked for his release and the Steelers rightfully granted it. With the writing on the wall, he understood his services were no longer required. Mettenberger has a very good arm but his understanding of the offense was not where it needed to be.
I’m still struggling today with the knowledge that the Steelers’ front office felt they “got what they needed in the first four rounds.” So does that mean they feel the roster is now set for a Super Bowl run?
