Saturday Roster Move Now Looms For Steelers

If Tyler Murphy is going to serve as the backup quarterback to Landry Jones on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team will need to promote him from their practice squad to their 53-man roster by 4 p.m. EST on Saturday. As usual, the list of candidates to be released/waived is a short one and here they are in no particular order.

Byron Stingily – The former Tennessee Titans tackle was signed to the roster on Monday to replace starting tackle Kelvin Beachum, who was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a torn ACL.
